Life is short — Hunt hard.

John "JB" Barber

Trigger Bow Ranch was built for one purpose — offering friends and family the chance to experience hunting as it should be. Everything now runs out of Taylor County, Georgia, and every hunt operates under a strict fair-chase policy.

John Barber shot his first pheasant at 5 years old in South Dakota with a single shot 410. As a young adult he hunted all over North America hunting deer, elk, moose, bear and all upland birds. He acquired, founded, and began outfitting in 2003 at Trigger Bow Farms Missouri and sold the farm in 2021. He has hunted on 5 continents and created Triggerbow Safaris in 2018 in South Africa. He is passionate about hunting and believes “life is short… hunt hard!”

The Operation

One ranch. One standard.

The Ranch

Taylor County, Georgia

Acquired in 2018 — part of the magical Flint River corridor. Pines, hardwood bottoms, green fields and farm ponds, all managed as one property with a single standard: fair chase, every hunt.

The Game

Deer, hogs, birds & bass

Big-bodied whitetails with Wisconsin-strain genetics, pure Russian black hogs hunted 365 days a year, wild eastern turkey, quail and dove — plus ponds loaded with largemouth bass and bluegill.

The Gear

Night rigs & thermal

Hogs and varmints get hunted after dark with ATN thermal, SilencerCo suppressors and Cyclops-mounted lasers on ranch AR-10 .308s. Deer hunters sit heated box blinds and ladder stands.

Varmint Management

Two years of hard work

TBF Georgia has been aggressively managing the varmint population the past two years — coyotes, bobcats and nest raiders. Fawn recruitment is up, quail coveys are back on the feed lines, and the turkey numbers have responded. That's why we'll be adding a limited number of spring turkey hunts in 2027.
